Shipping & Frozen Product Policy

At Predator Pantry, we work hard to ensure your frozen feeder products arrive safely, cleanly, and in good condition.

Because our products are perishable frozen prey items, they require specialized packaging and transit handling. Please review the following information carefully before placing your order.

Frozen Shipping Methods

Orders are packed using cold-chain shipping methods appropriate for the product, season, destination, and order size.

Shipping methods may vary depending on destination and current weather conditions.

Shipping Transit Times

Orders are typically shipped using the most appropriate carrier service for frozen delivery, which may include overnight, 2-day, or other expedited methods depending on destination.

Transit estimates provided by shipping carriers are estimates only and are not guaranteed by Predator Pantry.

Carrier delays caused by weather, routing disruptions, operational delays, or events outside our control may occur. Predator Pantry does not guarantee carrier delivery timelines once a shipment has been accepted by the carrier.

Customer Responsibility for Delivery

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing a complete and accurate shipping address

  • Monitoring shipment tracking information

  • Being available to retrieve packages promptly upon delivery

  • Bringing frozen shipments indoors immediately upon delivery

Predator Pantry is not responsible for packages left unattended after confirmed delivery.

Orders shipped to incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable addresses provided by the customer are not eligible for refund, replacement, or reshipment at no cost.

Dry Ice & Cold Packaging

Shipments may include dry ice or other temperature-control materials depending on order size, weather, and transit requirements.

Dry ice naturally dissipates during transit and may not be visible upon arrival, even when the shipment has remained safely frozen.

The absence of visible dry ice alone does not indicate shipment failure.

All Frozen Product Sales Are Final

Due to the perishable nature of frozen feeder products:

ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

Due to the perishable nature of frozen feeder products and for food safety/biosecurity reasons, all frozen product sales are final.

Damaged / Thawed / Incorrect Orders

If your shipment arrives fully thawed, leaking, damaged, incorrect, or otherwise compromised, you must contact Predator Pantry within 2 hours of confirmed delivery. Claims submitted more than 2 hours after confirmed delivery may be denied because Predator Pantry cannot verify storage conditions, handling conditions, or product condition after delivery.

Claims submitted after this window may be denied due to inability to verify handling conditions after delivery.

To review a claim, we require:

  • clear photos of the unopened shipping box

  • photos of packaging materials

  • photos of product condition

  • shipping label / tracking information

Predator Pantry reserves the right to approve, deny, partially refund, replace, or offer store credit at Predator Pantry’s sole discretion.

Weather & Shipping Risk

Extreme temperatures may affect shipping performance.

During periods of severe weather, Predator Pantry may delay shipment, recommend upgraded shipping, or contact customers regarding shipping options.

Our goal is to protect product integrity whenever possible.

Product Appearance

Frozen feeder prey are agricultural products, and natural variations in size, weight, coloration, feather condition, and appearance should be expected.

Minor frost accumulation, loose feathers, normal freezing variation, and natural biological differences do not constitute product defects.

Weight & Sizing

Predator Pantry products may be sold by count, weight class, or packaged lot depending on product category.

Natural biological variation exists, and individual prey weights may vary within listed product classifications unless otherwise specified. Weight-class products are sold based on minimum advertised size requirements, and individual birds may exceed listed weights.

Product Photos

Photos shown on Predator Pantry may represent examples of the product category and are intended for general reference. Because feeder quail are natural agricultural products, individual birds may vary in appearance, coloration, feather condition, and size.

Questions Before Ordering?

If you have questions about shipping methods, delivery timing, custom orders, or product suitability, please contact us before placing your order.

We’re happy to help.

Why are our prices lower?

At Predator Pantry, we believe customers should pay for the products they receive rather than subsidizing shipping costs for other customers.

Many feeder suppliers build shipping costs directly into their product pricing while advertise "free shipping." We take a different approach. Our quail are priced based on the cost of raising and processing them, while shipping is calculated separately at checkout based on your location and order size.

This allows nearby customers to avoid paying inflated product prices and ensures shipping costs remain as fair and transparent as possible.

As a small, woman-owned business, we work hard to keep our prices competitive while maintaining quality. Product pricing may be adjusted periodically to reflect changes in feed, supplies, labor, shipping materials, and other operating costs necessary to sustain the business and continue providing quality feeder products.
